Technical placement has been the focus of Patrick Mertens' business since 1995.

Prior to that he had been involved in the computer industry in sales, QA, support and documentation areas.

Patrick organized and managed the quality and documentation functions for multi-lingual spell checking, thesauri, American Heritage Electronic Dictionary and grammar correction. Then, in 1990 he became the Eastern Sales Office Manager selling to the library automation market.

Mr. Mertens performed system support, quality assurance and documentation writing as well as management of those functions for several years until his placement work became a thriving business.
